Well without the pinata to be honest! Easter came too early for my liking this year and coinciding with a birthday, I needed something a bit more than the usual. Obviously, the figolli where made (separate post coming up!) but I came across gorgeous Speckled Egg Chocolate Piñata Cake, complete with three layers of chocolate cake and a stunning Speckled Egg buttercream.
I am always a sucker for a good chocolate cake, and this one turned out perfectly too – that hit of brown sugar really makes a difference although it took me ages to break the brown sugar apart! The buttercream frosting was pretty easy to do, and I did go for a pink as a personal preference. I did not go for the inside pinata but definitely keeping that one in my back pocket for the next birthday cake.
